Oke Maduegbuna:   “he dined with Kings and Queens…” Okechukwu Moses Maduegbuna April 14, 1957 – January 19, 2023, was an epitome of that “Man” in Rudyard Kipling’s great poem, “If”.   He dined with Kings and Queens but never lost the common touch.   Oke may have been seen at Aso Rock in the morning, later same morning attending an inter-house sports competition in Lagos in solidarity with the child or children of his friend, then at lunch in Ikoyi Club, then wrapping up the evening at Mama Ngozi’s beer parlour somewhere in Onitsha Inland Town.   That was Oke Maduegbuna. FG Assures Bigger Cargoes at Onitsha Port Soon Economic activities will soon increase at the concessioned Onitsha River Port in Anambra State as the Federal Government on Thursday, said that big cargoes will soon berth at the port. The Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Chief George Moghalu made the disclosure while speaking with State House correspondence, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.
